I used CheckPoint pumps on four of our contracted fixed installations in the Northern North Sea sector (currently operated by CNR International). In that time span of >3 years, I found the units provided a highly sustainable service with very few breakdowns. These units were originally supplied for short term service but many of them ended up being permanent fixtures. During that time, CheckPoint provided training for our personnel, to allow them to change out seals and pump heads etc. The supply terms were always second to none and we often got units supplied at very short notice eg one day turnaround. Baker even used CheckPoint as an intermediate supplier for some non CheckPoint items relating to chemical injection eg hoses, special materials, as we knew we would always get great service.
On my recent assignment in West Africa, we had to trouble shoot an inferior pump set-up for Sodium Hypochlorite, with a plug-n-play unit designed by CheckPoint. Although the unit cost was higher than the original set-up bought by our customer, we demonstrated that the down time caused by the inferior unit was costing more than paying for the "correct" equipment. The customer was very pleased with the solution.
My first point of call for chemical units is always CheckPoint.

"Our CheckPoint pumps have been in service for seven months without a single
problem. Furthermore, we recently went through a harsh winter and did not have
to do any service to the pumps. I highly recommend CheckPoint pumps for any
chemical service."

"I have used pumps from Williams, Sidewinder, and Morgan. Then we tried a CheckPoint. After the first two months I was sold.
Now it has been 100% maintenance free for about ten months.
The chemicals we use with this pump are HCl, defoamer, and highly corrosive demulsifier. The pumping rates have been accurate
under varying air supply conditions. I highly recommend this CheckPoint pump."

"No problems were experienced with the pump's packing even though it was used alternately to inject methanol, corrosion
inhibitor, and hydrogen sulphide scavenger products. About 95% of the breakdowns experienced with chemical injection equipment
can be attributed to return spring and/or packing failures. This particular pump has no springs that can wear or break;
hence the potential for breakdowns is greatly reduced and practically eliminated."

"Prior to establishing a strategic supplier relationship with CheckPoint, we estimated to have some 20% of all our chemical
pumps being down. Both teams have worked hard to reduce this within the first year. Our goal was to reduce the 20% of pumps
being down and now believe that we are at 4-6% downtime and these are customer owned pumps not CheckPoints. We continue
to reduce these percentages each year with proven success using CheckPoint pumps."
James Archer, President
Multi-Chem Group, LLC
"A Williams pump in this service would require maintenance every three months or less. The CheckPoint was maintenance free
for the entire test period of three years."

"I am writing this letter in regards to the CheckPoint chemical injection pump. It has been about 1-. years since we first started using your
chemical injection pumps. I must say without a doubt that this product has reduced our chemical injection pump down time tremendously.
They have been just about maintenance free. We have experienced no packing problems or internal mechanical problems with this pump.
You can set the desired rate per day, and come back in a week and find the pump just as you set it. This cuts down on problems with too
much chemical being injected (wasted) or not enough chemical being injected. In turn this cuts down on our chemical costs tremendously,
and manpower to maintain these pumps. With the most accurate rate adjustment of any chemical pump that I've been associated with, this
just about eliminates any process problems due to chemical injection rates.
[In one application] we used low pressure sea water to supply the power end of the chemical pump. To our surprise the pump worked as it
would have if it were running on air or gas!
To sum it all up, I am sold on the CheckPoint chemical pump. This is the best pump that has been around for a long, long, time."

"I can confirm that the pump has successfully been in use [for over a year] with minimal onsite maintenance
required. The pump has come in once for a six month service during a planned platform shutdown. The chemical
that is being pumped has been problematic for several years prior to use with the 54/84 series. The chemical
in question is extremely viscous and prone to lump formation during transit in chemical tanks both of which
cause problems in providing sufficient suction pressure for the pump. The setup in question therefore has to
'suck' a viscous chemical out of the tank in extreme weather conditions."

"As a user of CheckPoint pumps I cannot say enough about the quality and reliability of the
CheckPoint brand.
We have used CheckPoint Pumps in our offshore process systems for the last 4 years with
great success, longer intervals between pump repairs and outstanding service when repairs
are needed.
I would recommend CheckPoint to anyone in the Oil Industry their service and commitment
are unequalled and their products just plain work."

"M-I QATAR W.L.L have been working with CheckPoint over the past months on a project to select the most suitable injection
pump. This is for one of our high profile projects in Qatar.
The dealings with CheckPoint UK have been very professional. The company responded swiftly and was quick to identify our
needs. Their engineers were genuinely interested and proposed a viable solution within a couple of days.
We are currently using one of their pumps to our full satisfaction and we will be purchasing additional units from them in the near
future.
Their services and products are recommended."

"I would like to say how satisfied I am with the operation of the CheckPoint pump in H2S service. We have tried several chemical
pumps in this high concentration of H2S service with no winners. Now it looks like we have one."
Curtis Roys
CC Technology, Inc. - Midland, Texas
"We ran the CheckPoint along with the Sidewinder and Morgan and there was no comparison. The other pumps constantly
broke down. We ran it, I guess, for two and a half years with no problems. That packing nut is great. You keep tightening it up,
and it runs forever."
Production Operator
Louisiana Land & Exploration
"CheckPoint chemical injection pumps are being used in Azerbaijan to inject both our PPD (pour point depressant) chemical
and methanol. These chemicals have widely different properties. The PPD is viscous and methanol is well known for affecting
seals and elastomers. These pumps have proved to be extremely reliable. The PPD pumps have been running almost continuously
for 2 years almost maintenance free. We have experienced no packing problems or internal mechanical problems with
them. We do not experience drifting of the chemical injection rate - what you set is what you see until the rate is changed again.
This cuts down on all the problems associated with too much chemical being injected, or not enough chemical injected."
Robert Forrester, Azerbaijan District Manager
Champion Technologies - Russia & Caspian BV
"CheckPoint pumps have operated very effectively in the FWB. We are especially pleased with the service
provided by CheckPoint, specifically in helping us determine how to utilize our vented gas as a fuel supply for
other equipment. After looking at five different gas operated pumps, tearing them all down, testing several,
calling manufacturers and users, we determined that the CheckPoint pump was superior in design to the others,
would outlast the others, and was the easiest to maintain. We will have to keep chemical pumps on the
FWB Barnett wells until they are plugged and abandoned and we feel that the CheckPoint pump will last the
longest over those 20 to 30 years.
Yes, they cost a little bit more than other gas operated pumps, but rate control, the ability to handle fluid in the
supply gas stream, the ease of maintenance, the construction materials, the service, the versatility, and the
reliability are superior to other pumps. One month of misapplied rate on $8 per gallon chemical makes up for
the difference very quickly. So does utilizing the vented gas as fuel. I can fully recommend purchasing
CheckPoint pumps."
