MD Series Pumps & Packages

CheckPoint MD Series Pumps are specifically developed to handle the most challenging applications. The pump produces a leakproof, positive-displacement flow at rates up to 2,220 USG/H (8,403 L/H) and at pressures up to 2,500 PSIG (172 BARG). The MD delivers nearly maintenance- free operation for your most demanding applications. It will handle the pressure, temperature, friction, and suspended particle challenges of your worst applications with outstanding reliability.

HIGH RELIABILITY BALANCED-DIAPHRAGM DESIGN

The CheckPoint Series MD pump actuates multiple, hydraulically-balanced diaphragms housed within a single manifold. The process pressure is constantly balanced by hydraulic pressure on its opposing side, so the flexible diaphragms essentially experience no differential pressure - allowing high discharge pressures without damage.

NEARLY PULSE-FREE FLOW

Each diaphragm is energized sequentially, and each has its own suction and discharge check internal to the pump head. A unique "wobble plate" design efficiently converts the rotational energy of a motor, which in turn actuates the diaphragms in series. The pump head internally assembles all suction and all discharge cycles into single ports, delivering up to an incredible 90 discharge cycles per second.

ABILITY TO HANDLE PARTICULATE

The MD pump head can handle extreme operating conditions where no plunger pump could survive. There are no sliding parts in contact with the chemical. The diaphragms do not contact a strike plate on their power stroke, so particles slip right by without damage. The check valves, featuring low-mass poppets, are extremely particle-tolerant and durable. There are no seals, just the highly-durable unstressed diaphragm.

INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH CONSTRUCTION

The pump head is constructed of 316LSS, 17-4PH, NitronicTM, HastelloyTM, KynarTM, and other chemically- resistant materials throughout. This pump is appropriate for any offshore or plant conditions.

"PLUG & PLAY" PACKAGES

CheckPoint can skid-mount any MD Series pump with an electric motor by belt or direct-drive, complete with all necessary components, including a speed or flow control valve, gauges, pipework, pulsation control, etceteras.

1. Drive Shaft - via electric motor, hydraulic motor, belt and pulley, etc.

2. Roller bearings - rigid support, immersed in lubricating oil bath.

3. Fixed-angle cam - translates rotary motion into linear to the hydraulic cells.

4. Hydraulic cells - displace diaphragms via pressurized oil.

5. Diaphragms - hydraulically balanced, no stress during flexing.

6. Inlet valve assemblies - simple design, allows liquid into pump chamber.

7. Outlet valve assemblies - allows liquid to flow into pressure discharge line.

8. Pressure regulating valve - controls output pressure and prevents pump overload.
